Today is my first day of spring break and a much needed break it is! Instead of going on a cruise or traveling someplace warmer my husband and I are staying home this year. I plan on spending my break by sleeping in, enjoying lots of quality time with my hubby/daughter, doing a few chores (only because I won't be able to stop myself) and rereading some of my favorite books.
Sometimes a staycation is just what you need. I love the idea of rereading favorite books. I liked rereading The Glass Castle.

Sounds like a perfect break. Sometimes it becomes stressful to take a vacation...all the planning...travel...and typical snafus that occur. Sleeping in and rereading favorite books...and spending time with loved ones...that is a perfect way to refresh yourself for the rest of the school year. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
A "staycation" sounds perfect if it involves time to read and time with family as you have described! Sometimes I need to stop the break neck pace that we are all on!
Happy spring break! Today is my first official day of spring break too. My son and I decided to travel north and get a little snow time (we're from Florida). It's magic to us! Hoe you have a great break too.

Sounds fantastic! I have two more weeks and then I'll be doing the same things! Yay!
